Something for the weekend.

I did a little experiment last week to confirm what I thought was the reason I’m putting the weight back on.

Daily Weigh InIt’s the weekend that is causing me all the hassle.

It seems that I’ve fallen back into an old trap.  The graph above is a daily weigh in throughout last week.  It’s pretty obvious to see that as I go through the week I do well and lose weight and then it gets to Friday night and I start piling it back on again.

Now all of that can’t be fat, I find it difficult to believe you can lose 2kg in fat and then put it all back on again in a week.  However, it does bring home the fact that I haven’t been as disciplined as I should have been during the weekends.

Now that I’ve confirmed this I’ll be making a special effort not to make the same mistake again.  It’s going to be tough since it’s the run up to Christmas but I really want to see the year out at 100kg.

Weight Loss Tracker Week 7 – Absolutely Gutted

weight loss tracker week 7

Well, it says it all really.  I’m absolutely gutted and pretty pissed off at the same time.  The weigh in this morning gave me the bad news that I’d jumped back up to 110kg.  3 weeks of good hard work just gone in what was pretty much a bad weekend.  The only saving grace is that I’m still under my target weight for now but a 4lb gain is shocking.

So, what happened?  Everything was going well up until Friday.  On Friday I was out and about for lunch and I ended up having a venison burger for lunch.  I also met up with a friend and had a couple of pints before dinner which was a lamb and mint pasty.  Not the most nutritional day.  Then on Saturday I had a pretty big breakfast, a couple of sausages, a raher of bacon, beans and a big slice of toast.  After the gym we ate out for Saturday lunch and I had a chicken and tomato baguette from Caffe Nero.  Then it was up to Winnersh for a mate’s birthday but I ended up drinking way too much and eating too much from the buffet.  On Sunday, after the car broke, we grabbed a sandwich and a juice for breakfast and headed back to Canterbury.  This is where I had my biggest meal since I’m always starving after a night out.  I got a rack of ribs and they were massive.

All that has led to me feeling like an idiot this morning.  It also means I’m more determined than ever to shift weight this week.  The gym calls.

On a good note I did enough exercise over the last week to burn 4233 calories.
