Weight Loss Tracker Week 6

Monday, February 16th, 2009

Well it’s the end of week 6 in my new fitness regime but it feels like it’s been a lot longer.  This morning before I got on the scales had been preparing to write plenty of excuses as to why I’d put on weight.  Thankfully though I have still lost weight compared to last Monday.

I usually have a cheeky weigh-in midweek and this week wasn’t any different.  It did say 107.5kg so I am a little disappointed to see my weight at 108kg this morning but overall it’s looking good and that line keeps on going down.

I do still feel I didn’t have the best week ever.  One thing I have discovered though is multi-vitamins.  After last weekend I was feeling a little run down and lethargic so I invested in some Berocca and some Centrum A-Z.  They’ve picked me up no end and I’ll be continuing to take them.  I guess it’ss hard to get everything you need on a calorie restricted diet.

Anyway, the graph is below and I’m aiming for 106.5kg – 107kg for this time next week.

Weight Loss Tracker – Week 5

Monday, February 9th, 2009

When I got up this morning I knew I had my weekly date with the bathroom scales and this week I wasn’t looking forward to it.

The last week I’ve been pretty bad.  Unfocussed, undisciplined and a few other “uns” I’m sure.  It didn’t feel like a good week.  I’d been meant to be couting calories but had lunch out a couple of times so didn’t manage to do that.  I also felt like I’d acheived nothing like a balanced diet.  Then to top it off I was quite ill on Friday/Saturday from what I think was a combination of working out too hard, eating too little and eating something that didn’t agree with me.

Anyway, whinge over, it’s time to get right back on it.  I’ll be calorie counting again this week as a semi punishment  for being so bad last week but also just to check I’m in the right ballpark.  I’m also going to do some reading around dietary balance etc and finally I’m going to have a more chilled workout week since I still don’t feel on top form.

In the meantime I’m surprised I’ve even dropped the 0.5kg I have this week.  It means the 109kg is acheived so I’m officially allowed to go to the outdoor show now but I don’t feel like celebrating.  Maybe next Monday.

Weight Loss Tracker – Week 3

Monday, January 26th, 2009

So, it’s the end of week 3 and below is my weight loss tracker.

This last week I made a conscious decision to slow down the weight loss a little bit.  Although it’s good to be losing a load of weight I don’t want to lose it too quickly.  Whenever I do any reading around people always say if you lose it too quickly you’ll just end up putting it back on.  Having said that…that 109kg goal is looming.  If I manage to hit 109kg by the end of the week then I’ll be a month ahead of schedule but more importantly I’ll be the lightest I’ve been for over 10 years!  I’m in quite a hurry to get there.

Also, while we are on the subject of weight-loss trackers it reminds me of another “R” in those SMARTER goals, RECORDING.  A lot of people recommend that you record your goals and track your progress against them.  I tend to do it without thinking and I find it a great help, especially when it’s quite visual like my graph below.  Last time I tried to lose weight I used a little ticker from The Ticker Factory.  It was a little snail that crawled along the ground as I lost weight.  Unfortunately it remained relatively static for me at the time!

Weight Loss Tracker – Week 2

I’ve got a ton of posts brewing but I don’t seem to get chance to post at the minute. To much improving to do. I must start improving my blogging!

Until I make time here’s how my tracker is looking after my 2nd week weigh in.

weight loss tracker

I’ve got a bit of catching up to do with this blog to let you know what’s going on but I need a little time available to me and I haven’t got that at the mo since I’m focussing on some other stuff to do with weight loss.

But, until I find time here is my little progression chart.  You’ll see it appear every week as I’m using it as my visual cue for how I’m doing.  If the black line is below the grey one then it means I’m doing better than expected, if it’s above then it means I’m doing worse.

Let’s hope I can keep it below.

Sid.
